Stunning
Here for Tom Jones, excellent night.
Great view from all around, need to be there early to get into the sectioned off area Infront of the stage.
Slightly annoying having to stand on a hill the whole time but this does allow you a great view.
Went to the Afore the night.Opening band brill as was Bjorn Again.Rainy but mild, but did'nt dampen the Hogmanay spirit.
Went to FLY open air and had an amazing time there.
The theatre has just been refurbished and was used as the destination venue for the Edinburgh Festival Carnival parade along Princess Street. Acts from the Jazz Festival were on site, and the sound system performed well in the open air theatre. Sat on a folding chair for over an hour led to a numb bum, so if you're going there for a longish performance take a cushion! McDonalds is over the road for refreshments!
Florence and the Machine & Primal Scream. Summer Sessions gigs.
Princes Street Gardens are wonderful - in late Spring, look for the rhododendrons off to the sides of the Ross Bandstand.
Okay, the fact to have here a concert/theater scene is very cool, in a soooo cool place with very nice view... But, why do they made a so horrible building in a so chic and gothic place???
Not to sure where to get information from but looks like a nice outdoor stage. Lost of space for people to stand and/or sit and I think you can rig up electrical appliances to the stage making it good for outdoor concerts and plays. Located in the middle of town, making it easily accessible from all places. Just off Princess Street so very central. Near Waverly train station so if people are coming from Glasgow or somewhere, it is accessible. Nice venue. Water fountain nearby has just been done up. Most busy at the festival and Christmas. Recommend venue definitely!
